back in soviet times when the official local music market was controlled by the biggest record monopoly in history melodiya, many local musicians who wanted to express themselves in actual form, released tapes themselves and spread it through a big underground market network called magnitizdat (short of magnetic tape release). it began in the 60s with soviet rock movement and illegal copies of foreign music which got through border with tourists, seamen and diplomats. in the late 80s you could find there many different shades of music from underground protest rock, post punk, avant-garde to a lot of electronic pop, local kind of italo disco and dj s mixtapes with a personal rap on top of it. plus seven records begins a sublable series of remastered edits which narrate about dance part of this story.

drew mcdowall’s back story reads like a primer of psychedelic fiction woven into statements of the unbelievable, superhuman and outright insane. somewhere in the chaotic madness, comes an artist such as mcdowall with total control and absolute calm within his songs and artistic method.

throwing rave parties since 2011, the bp collective has been founded with the objective of bringing a new breath to the french underground techno scene. in the bp tag und nacht” parties the visual universe tends to merge with the sound. each of the two stages has something different to tell: tag for the open air, nacht for the dark and smoky room. this project is based on the belief that the story told by sound depends on the visual atmosphere in which it is played. indeed this very first ep is built between those two atmospheres, the 4 tracks of the ep could be played in any of the two scenes tag or nacht with a totally different impact on the audience. on the tag stage, both of the tracks are colorful, atmospheric and dynamic whereas on the nacht stage, they become dark, trippy and powerful. this record is the first release of the two artists x1000 on the a side and vidock on the b side. both of them are part of the bp collective since the beginning, they draw their influences from the 90s detroit and belgium techno and trance scene. its difficult not to think about artists like the martian, model 500, robert leiner or the whole r&s label while listening to these 4 tracks.

we here at wph are not ones to celebrate each and every significant number in our history. we do not even consider numbers to be that significant. but what we do believe is that every story has its ending and that every ending should come with a bang. and so we have decided that the regular wph series and the coloured vinyl-only series will come to an end together with one last release. we breing you a collection of three of our most wanted tracks with a little bonus thrown in ... we suggest you go really oldskool and buy double copies of this one, because you will want to play these back to back!

mikael strömbergs alter ego igor has created the album *fast & slow* who is an aspiring masterpiece in the ambient genre, the references are very clear to the 70s iconic ambient school, including satie-cage-eno-soundart, but at the same time a modern touch and a sense of the present. the story behind this album is the least frightening and fascinating as the composer strömberg was seconds away from losing his lives when the aorta ruptured all the way from top to bottom with the diagnosis: acute aortic dissection. the music became a part of his rescue and the record *fast and slow* came about as part of his healing process.

we have reached the end. this is as far as the story tells the final recording by the artist(s) that kickstarted the omena ltd series with the mini-album 1 early 2015.
